An unusual cruise that takes in the coasts of Costa Rica and Panama as well as the fabled Panama Canal. You will experience the wildlife, cultures, history and landscapes of Central America from your floating ‘boutique hotel’. Hike through lush jungle, watching for colourful macaws and hummingbirds, slow moving sloths, screeching howler monkeys, expressive white-faced capuchins and squirrel monkeys in the canopy above. Snorkel with the multi-coloured menagerie of the coral reefs. Navigate alluringly beautiful and secluded island coves and mangrove forests by kayak and skiff and witness the incredible engineering feat that is the Panama Canal.

We will explore the Pacific Ocean coast line of Costa Rica, reaching the Nature Reserves and National Parks of Isla Coiba and Manuel Antonio, witnessing life in the Darrien Jungle, visiting Tortuga island and Curu and cross the celebrated Panama Canal, an event for every avid cruise goer.Each day you will discovering a new port of call, a hidden cove with crystal blue waters, a glimpse of ancient history and some rich flora and fauna.

Embarkation at 15:00 - 16:00. Sailing to Curu Reserve. Evening arrival in Curu. Overnight at anchor.
Morning Optional walking excursion in the Curu Nature Reserve with the local Rangers and our on board naturalist. Late morning we rejoin the vessel for a short sailing to Tortuga Island. We arrive in Tortuga Island at noon for swimming and snorkeling in crystal clear waters of this paradise island before joining in for our beach BBQ. Later on we have more time to enjoy this amazing island. Overnight at anchor.
Very early in the morning , we leave Tortuga Island for Quepos. Morning arrival in Quepos and transfer to the MANUEL ANTONIO RESERVE, one of the highlights of the cruise. Afternoon sailing to nearby Playa Biesanz for an afternoon swim. (Savegre River or Forest Canopy tour excursion participants rejoin the ship in Playa Biesanz). Tropical evening with dinner and party - Late evening sailing to Golfo Dulce - Puerto Jimenez - Overnight at sea.
We reach Puerto Jimenez early in the morning. Morning optional OSA PENINSULA excursion. The park is part of one of the biological corridors leading to the Corcovado National Park and offers the opportunity for a smooth walk in secondary forest and interaction with endemic animal life. We return to the ship for a late lunch while we cross Golfo Dulce towards Casa Orquideas. After lunch, we reach by Casa Orquideas by tender, a beautiful flowers sanctuary. Optional excursion in the grounds and time to swim at the end of the visit. We then sail into Golfito Bay where we stop for immigration procedures and then sail overnight to Coiba Island. We reach GOLFITO in Golfo Dulce at midnight. Immigration and ship clearance process and overnight sailing to Coiba Island - PANAMA - Overnight at sea.
Morning arrival in Coiba. Morning walking exploration of COIBA - After our deck BBQ we reach nearby Granito de Oro Island for swimming and snorkeling. In the afternoon, we leave Granito de Oro and sail to Punta Patino - Darrien. Overnight at sea
Afternoon arrival Punta Patino - San Miguel Gulf. Overnight at anchor.
Optional excursion to Punta Patino in the Darrien National park and to the Mogue Embera Reserve. We sail upstream the Mogue river in dugout canoes and reach the Village of Mogue after passing through a mangroves ecosystem. We are welcomed by Embera Indians, one of the 7 indigenous groups living in Panama. They are proud and very friendly and known for their beautiful handicrafts and well preserved traditions. We will be invited to share their lunch and dance with them. In the evening we sail to Panama City -Amador Flamenco marina.
Early morning arrival in PANAMA CITY- Flamenco Marina. Optional Panama City excursion. We prepare for an early afternoon canal crossing around 15:00. We cross the Miraflores and the San Pedro Locks to enter the GATUN LAKE for a day cruise around the lake. Evening at anchor in Gatun Lake.
Gatun Lake exploration. Morning excursion to Smithsonian’s Institute facility - Embera Village excursion- Late in the evening we exit the Gatun Lake at Gatun Locks.
We exit the Canal at the Miraflores Locks in the early hours of the morning and reach Flamenco Marina in Panama City.Disembarkation 06:00 to 09:30.
